A Great Steak in Riverside
July 1st, 2008There are certain foods that I love eating and one of them is steak. Porterhouse, Filet Mignon, New York Strip, Rib eye, you name it. It’s all good, well maybe not good for your blood pressure. I just try to keep it in moderation, but if I’m going out to have some serious steak, Duane’s Prime Steak and Seafood is the way to go. Located in the historic Mission Inn in downtown Riverside, Duane’s is the only AAA Four Diamond awarded restaurant in the Inland Empire. If you have some extra money or you want to impress, this is the place to be.
Like any fine restaurant everything is served A la Carte. I was lucky enough to have their mushrooms in wine sauce and garlic mash potatoes for my side dish and it was like heaven simply put. I ordered the Filet Mignon and I pretty much died at the table. I don’t understand how meat can have a texture of butter. That night at the dinner table I was thinking to myself, “This is how the rich eat, no wonder they get so fat easily”.
The only thing that really irks me about Duane’s is that for being such a classy place, they don’t have a nice website. It’s like they stick their logo on there and have a PDF of their menu to download and next to the menu are their hours of business. I know they make some serious money, so they should have enough funds to put up a nicer website. Maybe this Riverside web team can help.
