Natural Ways to Reduce Stress and Strengthen Your Immune Sys

April 9th, 2008

How we deal with stress has a direct impact upon our immune system. Learn how to properly manage daily stress and keep yourself healthy, vibrant and more youthful.

Stress seems to have become a constant factor in today’s fast-paced society. If left unchecked, it can wreak havoc upon our health. Learning how to effectively manage stress can mean the difference between being robust and full of life, or becoming susceptible to illness and disease. Stress can weaken the immune system and accelerate the aging process. The ability to relax and rejuvenate promotes wellness, vitality and longevity.
A healthy immune system regulates our body’s healing process and protects it against infections and diseases. When stress compromises our immune function, it can result in colds, flu, fatigue, cardiovascular disorders and premature aging. Stress increases heart rate, blood pressure, glucose levels, adrenaline, cortisol, free radicals and oxidative damage. This initiates the “fight or flight” response, places undue strain upon the heart, and can also increase the feelings of anxiety and depression.

Protecting the immune system is a vital part of living longer, feeling younger and being healthy. Here are ten natural healthy ways to reduce stress, boost your immune system and slow down the hands of time.

1. Walking and Physical Activity (dancing, gardening, cycling, swimming, weight-lifting, etc.). Regular exercise and physical activity strengthens your immune system, cardiovascular system, heart, muscles and bones. It also stimulates the release of endorphins, improves mental functioning, concentration/attention and cognitive performance, and lowers cholesterol, blood pressure, cortisol and other stress hormones. Three 10-minute workout sessions during the day are just as effective as one 30-minute workout, and a lot easier to fit into a busy schedule.

2. Yoga and Stretching. The slow movements and controlled postures of yoga improves muscle strength, flexibility, range of motion, balance, breathing, blood circulation and promotes mental focus, clarity and calmness. Stretching also reduces mental and physical stress, tension and anxiety, promotes good sleep, lowers blood pressure and slows down your heart rate.

3. Hand Hygiene. The most effective measure in preventing the spread of microorganisms that cause infections is good hand hygiene. Washing your hands with soap and water as soon as you come home, and always before you eat, greatly reduces your exposure to bacterial and viral infections. In case you cannot wash with soap and water when you are away from home, carry some alcohol-based hand wipes with you to control microbial exposure and transmission.

4. Laughter and Humor. There is truth to the saying that laughter is the best medicine. Laughing reduces stress hormones like adrenaline (epinephrine) and cortisol. It also benefits your immune system by increasing the number and activity of Natural Killer T-cells. These cells act as the first line of defense against viral attacks and damaged cells. Find the humor in things and engage in activities that make you laugh to increase your immune function and disease resistance.

5. High Nutrient Diet. Eat foods rich in antioxidants (like vitamins A, C, E and lycopene), omega-3 fatty acids, and folate. Antioxidants fight and neutralize free radicals, which are molecules that damage cells and cause heart disease, cancer and premature aging. Omega-3 fatty acids (a polyunsaturated fat) have anti-inflammatory, cardiovascular-enhancing and immune-regulating properties. It is helpful in preventing and controlling high cholesterol, hypertension, heart disease, stroke, cancer, diabetes, depression, inflammatory and auto-immune disorders. Folate prevents age-related cognitive decline, damage to blood vessels and brain cells by lowering homocysteine levels. It also ensures DNA integrity (important as we age and when pregnant) and promotes healthy red blood cells. Excellent food sources for these nutrients are as follows.

  • Antioxidants - pumpkin, sweet potatoes, carrots, kale, grapefruit (red and pink), blueberries, strawberries, watermelon, cantaloupe, oranges, peppers (red and green), tomatoes, broccoli, sunflower seeds, almonds and olive oil.

  • Omega-3 Fatty Acids - ground flax seeds, walnuts, salmon, soybeans and pumpkin seeds.

  • Folate - dark green leafy vegetables (turnip greens, mustard greens, spinach, romaine lettuce, collard greens, etc.), beans, legumes, asparagus, Brussels sprouts, beets and okra.

6. Music. Listening to your favorite music is a great method of reducing stress and relieving anxiety. Your individual preference in music determines which types of soothing sounds will best reduce your tension, blood pressure, and promote feelings of tranquility. Pay attention to how you feel when you hear a particular song or genre of music, and keep listening to the ones that produce a relaxing effect.

7. Sleep. Getting enough sound sleep has a profound impact on your stress levels, immune function and disease resistance. A chronic lack of sleep can leave you feeling sluggish, irritable, forgetful, accident-prone, and have difficulty concentrating or coping with life’s daily aggravations. Long-term sleep loss can also result in heart disease, stroke, hypertension, depression, and anxiety. Sleep time is when your body and immune system do most of its repairs and rejuvenation. Strive to get 7-8 hours of sleep each night. Remember rest and relaxation go hand in hand.

8. Positive Thinking. Optimism can counteract the negative impact stress, tension and anxiety has on your immune system and well-being. Often it is how you perceive things that determine if you get overwhelmed, both mentally and physically. Having a positive attitude, finding the good in what life throws your way and looking at the bright side of things enhances your ability to effectively manage stress.

9. Tea. Regularly drinking tea throughout the day can help strengthen your immune system and your body’s ability to fight off germs and infections. Both green and black teas contain a beneficial amino acid called L-theanine, which can increase the infection fighting capacity of gamma delta T cells. L-theanine also promotes a sense of relaxation, calmness and well-being by influencing the release and concentration of neurotransmitters (like dopamine, serotonin and GABA) in the brain.

10. Hydrotherapy. Relaxing in a hot bath relieves sore muscles and joints, reduces stress and tension, and promotes a good night’s sleep. Add some soothing music, soft lighting and naturally scented bath salts or bubble bath/bath foam to create an inexpensive and convenient spa experience in the privacy of your own home.

7 Simple Steps to Financial Freedom and Wealth Building - Step 5

April 9th, 2008

Copyright 2005 William Tan

This is Step 5 of CashFlow Avenue’s 7 Simple Steps to Financial
Freedom and Wealth Building.

STEP 5 - Arm Yourself with Options Trading Knowledge

Today, we move forward to understanding the business of Options
Trading. Just like when we get into any new business, we have to
equip ourselves with knowledge of the business. Many amateur
traders pay the ultimate price by “messing” with their hard
earned risk capital and end up losing all their money. In any
business, when you do that, you would be out of the game.

So before you go charging into the market, with the hope of
unrealistic profit, please consider educating yourselves with
knowledge of the business. You may get lucky a few times, but
the luck will run out. Understand that for you to profit, some
other trader will lose. Basically, in the equity market, you
are, essentially, trading against other traders. It may be
against amateurs, professionals, or even institutional trader,
which probably explains why most new traders will lose money
when they start. In fact, most amateur traders will quit the
business before completing the 1 st year.

It is easy to educate yourselves but you would have to pay a
small fee to learn how to trade. Just go to www.google.com and
search for “Options Trading Course” and you would be able to get
a pretty long list of trading courses available. The biggest
problem with trading courses is you may need to take a few
months before jumping into action. Also, learning the rules of a
game does not necessarily make you a good player. You can teach
beginners the rules of poker but it does not mean they can all
turn out to be good poker players.

Another simple way, just like any business, is to hire a
consultant - in your case, an Options Trading Advisory service.
There are plenty out there too. Again, when there are too many
choices, it can be confusing. To make sure you appoint a
“consultant” or Options Trading Advisor, you should evaluate
them on:

Performance - how much money have they provided to their
subscribers in the short term and long term? Read closely - if
they are emphasizing on huge returns on single trades or overall
monthly portfolio gains. Be cautious of advisory services that
boast impressive returns per trade because they obviously are
not reporting their huge losses. It is important that you
evaluate their monthly performance rather than on per trade
basis. It is pointless to have excellent returns per trade but
still losing money end of every month.

Trading Style - do they provide high risk trading or steady
income building strategy? High returns mirror the risks. If you
are an aggressive trader, this might be suitable. If you are
planning for early retirement, or your child’s education fund,
then this is something too risky.

Customer Service - try writing a mail to them and understand
their response time. You want to know that they are there for
you when you need them. What’s the point of having a lawyer but
when you are in jail, you can’t find them.

Stop Loss - understand if capital preservation is priority. You
would not want to follow an advice that will cause you
substantial losses. When the chips are down, there must be an
exit plan. This is easy to spot by going through the website. Is
the website emphasizing more on profits or on capital
preservation?

Number of Trade Recommendations - be cautious of websites that
provide too many recommendations. It reflects on their
confidence in their suggestions. As rule of thumb, you should
not be holding more than 8 positions at any time. Moreover, it
is unrealistic to hold so many positions simultaneously - you
may not have enough capital and you cannot monitor all of your
trades.

Motivation - this is an important factor. When following trade
recommendations, you need to know if there is any motivation
behind the trade signal. Use only Advisory Services that invest
together with you. That way you are sure that your “consultant”
is also facing the same risk.

Trade Holding Period - understand how long before you can expect
to see profit. Gone are the days of long term investing. Do not
get into the “hold and pray” trap. Many advisory services will
hide or delay losses by not closing losing positions. Ideally
you should hold and close a position not longer than 60 days.

With these as guidelines, you can now identify and appoint a
reliable Options Advisory Service as your business consultant.
There maybe a few that qualifies. For certain, CashFlow Avenue’s
own Options Trading Newsletter, CashFlow Advisor, meets and
exceeds all requirements. CashFlow Advisor is created to provide
options trading advisory to aid common traders and investors in
their pursuit of financial freedom and wealth building. If you
truly understand the value that we bring to your Brokerage
Account and Financial health, we are sure you would be with for
a pretty long period - like many of our susbcribers.

Now, with expert knowledge behind you, it is time to move to the
next step -

STEP 6: Time to Execute - It’s Show Time

How To Create A Hot Selling Internet Product That’s Guarante

April 9th, 2008

We all know that selling eBooks is a fantastic way of making money online. It’s a business that seems to grow with every day that goes by. More and more eBooks are coming out all the time. Why? Simple. Because they work.

Think about it. They can all be sent via email or instant download, yet people still say anything from £5-£49 for them. It’s all about finding a hungry market, and then providing them with exactly what they want.

The question is how do you find that market? And once you’ve found them how do you know what exactly that market wants?

Well this is a simple answer. An answer that could potentially make you alot of money very quickly.

Newsgroups and forums.

Let me explain. The internet has a newsgroup and forum for literally every subject you can think of. If someone has an interest in it then there will be a forum or newsgroup on it.

Now here’s how this works:

You want to come up with a subject that interests you. You must have an interest in it or. This doesn’t mean you have to know anything about it, but the subject matter must to hold your interest.

Now you’ve got your subject write down ten or twenty questions, tell people to answer as many or all of them as they can.

If your subject matter was health (the hot topic of the moment) you could have questions such as “what is your main concern about your health?” etc.

You tell all the people who answer your questions that they will recieve a special mention or free copy of the book once it’s finished.

What your effectively doing is planting an internet ’seed’. You’ll go back to the site and find that dozens if not hundreds of people have answered your questions.

People will have told you which questions they desperately want the answer to.

Then all you do is research the info they want to know, write it all down, tidy it up a bit and hey presto you’ve got an eBook that the specific market has TOLD you they wanted created. They’ve told you the info they wanted to know and all you’ve done is put it all into a book.

You can research the questions they want the anwers to by just searching on google. There are answers to every question on the net you’ve just got to spend a bit of time looking for them.

It’s for this reason that people don’t search the net for themselves. Time. But they sure as hell would buy a book with all the information they wanted in it. They wouldn’t be able to get their credit card out quick enough if you provide them with the answrs they want to know.

This is where newgroups and forums can make you tons and tons of money. Step by step here’s a summary of how this works.

1) Decide on which niche market to sell to.

EG.Health, Golf, Making Money, Fishing etc.

2)Place a polite message on as many newsgroups and forums as you want to asking people what things they would desperately like to know about the category. Tell them that should they help you will provide them with a free copy of the book when it’s finished. This costs you nothing (remember eBooks are all sent via email or download) and convinces them to spend a little time on your project.

3)You go back to the news groups/forums a week or so later and jot down all the questions they want answered.

4)Search for the answers to the questions and copy and paste them onto a word document.

5)Tidy it up, put it into a PDF format and your ready to go!

OR

5b)Give a ghostwriter all of the notes and ask them to make it into a book for you.

You don’t just have to limit yourself to an eBook either. If the people are snapping up your eBook product then chances are they’ll love it as a paper and ink product to so think about advertising it through direct mail/mail order and bringing in even more profits.

This really is the easiest way to create a hot selling internet product that your market will love in the fastest possible time.

All the best in your new venture.
