Film and Video Production

April 1st, 2008

Film and video production is the process of creating a motion picture film. This process consists of the activities from the initial development to the final distribution stage. While the process differs from one production company to another, there are certain stages through which film and video production goes.

Typically, there are the pre-production, production, and the post-production stages. Though the production stage is the occasion when the actual filming takes place, the other stages, particularly the pre-production stage, significantly influence the entire process of film and video production.

The pre-production stage is concerned with the development and revising of the script. Budgeting and financing decisions are made at this stage. More time spent on planning and designing the process helps with keeping costs low during the entire course of the process. Scheduling, casting, and set construction are completed during this stage.

The production stage is when the equipment needed for filming is set up and appropriate lighting and audio devices are put in place. This is the phase of principal photography, when the actual filming takes place with the director of the film overseeing the operations. This is arguably the most critical and expensive phase of the production stage. Generally, the start of the phase of principal photography signals that the production of the film would, in all probability, be completed.

During the post-production stage, those sequences or scenes that were missed during the phase of principal photography are shot. Film editing and the addition of visual effects are done during this stage. Also, sound editing, musical scoring, and enhancing with sound effects are completed during this stage. The culmination of the entire film and video production process is when the film is distributed for marketing.

Jimmy Hendix Genuis Or Drug Addict

April 1st, 2008

Throughout time many have thought of the great jimmy Hendrix as a master of the rock and a great and outstanding guitar soloist. The big question asked by many people though is “Was he an artist and a great achiever or was he a drug addicted rock star?” He was a little of both but he was more a genius in the world of rock and role. He made the best of the times even though having troubles with the drug addictions and constant addictions to more and more drugs even though he was famous he had his rough share of times just like everyone else. His songs reflected mostly drugs but they became very popular during his time. He was thought as a god in the rock world after many of his songs went global. Some parents didn’t agree with the whole idea but as time went by they cleaned up their act and started appreciating his music and began listening to it. Still today his music is listened to by many people. Even though he has passed his music still lives on through the hearts of many people around the world today.

Jimmy Hendrix eventually died after taking so much drugs but his legend still live on with his family today. He is thought of everyday when someone is thinking about taking drugs. His music is very influential and his effected many people today around the United States. Most people remember though that he died of drugs and in the end they eventually give it up. He is missed by many people today as one person who didn’t care what people thought about him his just loved to play music and please the fans anyway possible by always showing up and playing his great music. He might not be a rocket scientist but he was a genius in the guitar and music field and is admired by many people in bands today. Even some of the great stars looked up to him in many ways because of his great gift that allowed him to play his guitar so well and be able to become famous for many people to hear and see.

Even though he was a drug addict he was truly a genius. Maybe not in the fields of science, math, and english but a truly loved music artist that loved the people and loved his music. He revolutionized the rock business and gave the rock hall of fame a great musical artist and great man of rock. Even though he died of a cause he did he still gave the world a better taste of greatness in the making.

Natural Remedies For Treating a Cold

April 1st, 2008

Sometimes it can be hard to escape that shivery feeling that happens when you get too cold. A good immediate remedy for this is to wrap yourself up in a douvet and stick a hairdryer up it, (making sure the air flow is not restricted) until you feel warmed up.

Colds are the body’s escape mechanism. When the whole system is overloaded it crashes. The body stresses out and the immune system drops its threshold. The nose releases toxic wastes in the form of mucous and the body often aches and feels exhausted. Pay attention to what your body is saying because an unchecked cold can become far more serious if you keep it buried.

If you are one of those people who can tell when you have a cold coming on, then it can be stopped, or at least minimised, in several ways. Firstly, rest is essential. There is no way your body will self-heal in a stressful situation. If you have to work, take it easy or delegate a bit more. Lemon juice, rose hips, parsley (not if you’re pregnant) and fresh orange all contain vitamin C, so take them.

Some colds can actually be completely stopped dead by gently sniffing a mixture of lemon juice and warm water up your nose, if you are brave enough. Pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds contain zinc which is important in cold prevention so take some of those. Otherwise its time to sweat those built up toxins right out through the skin. Start with a peppermint tea and take some garlic or garlic capsules. Then boil a large onion in milk for an hour, eat it, and drink the milk. Follow on with a steaming cup of lemon juice, honey, cinnamon and grated ginger which will stimulate circulation and sweating. Enjoy it in a mustard footbath which will also warm up the blood - use multiple and layered remedies and take them as an opportunity to treat yourself.

For a mustard footbath, take 1 tsp. yellow powder mustard and one of household soda (if you have hard water) and put them in a deep basin with some water as hot as you can stand. Keep your feet and lower legs in for about ten minutes, topping the bath up with fresh hot (not boling) water. Dry off, put on thick socks and climb into a freshly warmed bed, the earlier the better.

Whole Life Insurance Quotes

April 1st, 2008

For physical products, there is no quote, only fixed prices. This is because all the variables in the final delivery of goods are all determined, as is the final price of the product. There are also some of the services like Internet services where cost is fixed. But there are services for which the cost of the product varies with each individual, depending on the requirements and other variables. Hence, the price of the product is “quoted” based upon these variables. Insurance is one of such quoted services.

With insurance, the quote refers to the premium payable by the individual to the insurance company. Quote is just a preliminary estimate of the cost. The final price is worked out after examining the individual for various conditions, and the quote may increase or decrease. Further, a quote is also dependent on the various features of the products. Thus, quotes may be different for different companies based on the features for the same individual.

A quote for an individual policy is arrived at by understanding the needs of the insured and the profile: age, habits, history of diseases and the income. The quote is determined by fixing the need, i.e. the death benefit, at $100k, for example, and then asking a set of questions to find out the probability of living a long and healthy life.

Quotes can be obtained from insurance companies either through agents or online. On the Internet, one can obtain a quote faster, in five to ten minutes, by answering all the questions. There are other related sites that offer quotes and that claim to offer inexpensive quotes.

The advantage of getting a quote is that it can be used to compare with different companies. The disadvantage is that there is a clash in the priority of information. The individual downplays certain negative information that might lead to higher premiums and therefore the quote obtained seems to be less expensive, while in actuality, it will not be. Some tips to get best quotes are to give the information accurately, to quit smoking and to obtain insurance when one is still young.

Build Your Online Database With Bonus Giveaways

April 1st, 2008

Anyone who depends on building a database with online subscribers knows this is becoming more difficult by the day. Primarily, the competition for the consumer’s attention is fierce. Today’s consumer has become much more demanding and savvy when it comes to buying products online or signing up for “stuff.”

Smart marketers realize the power and profit that comes from a strong alliance through joint venturing. JV’s can be one of the smartest marketing moves any online marketer can make.

Something that has become very popular in recent months is where one person or company sweetens the offer of the product they are selling with lots of bonuses. The bonuses can be their own information products or those of others who understand the benefits of this type of campaign. Of course, there is no charge for the bonus products.

There are two primary ways to participate in a JV of this nature. One is to simply give the PDF file to the person who is selling a product. The seller gives the PDF directly to the buyer. The advantage to this is your bonus product gets seen by others. The disadvantage is you don’t get access to the buyer’s contact information.

The other option is to require anyone who buys a product to go to a link provided by the bonus giver. The link is connected to a page with a form that the consumer fills out. They must leave their name and at a minimum, their email address before they can download the bonus.

When offered the opportunity to partner with other online marketers I usually jump at the chance. However, I the campaign I am most likely to join in on is the one where people sign up to get my bonus. Additionally, I do all I can to make sure the person I partner with is reputable.

Here are the primary benefits to participating in a joint venture.

- Expanded market reach
- Gain name recognition within that market
- Increase credibility through name association
- Build a database with minimal effort
- Create incredible value for the consumer

If you are looking for ways to increase your database, reach, credibility and visibility while providing more value to your market, consider joining forces with other progressive thinking entrepreneurs. It could be one of the smartest business moves you make.

A Rosary Resource Patterned on the Holy Father’s Apostolic L

A Rosary Resource Patterned on the Holy Father’s Apostolic Letter
Review of Praying the Rosary: With the Joyful, Luminous, Sorrowful, & Glorious Mysteries by Michael Dubruiel and Amy Welborn
By Lisa M. Hendey

For someone looking to “make a difference” in our world so filled with unrest and need, responding to Pope John Paul II’s call to embrace the Rosary is one affirmative step that can be taken immediately. As a resource for making contemplation of the Rosary a part of your life, authors Michael Dubruiel and Amy Welborn have compiled the book Praying the Rosary: With the Joyful, Luminous, Sorrowful, & Glorious Mysteries (Our Sunday Visitor, June 2003, hardcover, 64 pages).

Though compact in size, this book can and will have a tremendous impact upon your life if you choose to read and implement its suggested format. The book’s introduction reiterates the Holy Father’s call to this perfect form of Christian contemplation and points to the Blessed Virgin Mary as a role model for contemplating the true mystery of Jesus Christ, his life, death and resurrection. Bearing both the Nihil Obstat and the Imprimatur, Praying the Rosary incorporates all four sets of mysteries, including the new Luminous mysteries.

Welborn and Dubruiel follow the format suggested by Pope John Paul II in Rosarium Virginis Mariae including the announcement of the mystery, scriptural references, contemplative silence, the formal prayers of the Rosary (including a short prayer phrase following each Hail Mary related to the specific mystery), and a brief concluding prayer for each mystery. Newcomers to Rosary devotion will find the compendium of prayers at the completion of the book a helpful resource.

Complimenting the suggested format, stunning artwork graces the pages for each of the mysteries. Contemplation of these wonderful icons provided courtesy of St. Isaac of Syria Skete allows the user yet another point of interaction with the mysteries of the Rosary.

This books compact size makes it the perfect tool for incorporating the Rosary into your daily devotional routine. The hardcover format is durable and will stand up to daily use. The book will easily slip into a purse, briefcase, day planner or coat pocket. Praying the Rosary has taken up permanent residence in my “home away from home”, my vehicle, where my boys and I daily contemplate the mysteries of the Rosary in our own effort to better know and love Jesus Christ. We pray each day, joining our hearts and minds with countless millions around the globe, for peace in our own little corner of the world and beyond.

Two Companies Merge To Provide Higher Security Against Spyware Threats

April 1st, 2008

In an effort to offer computer users who utilize Internet Explorer an initial protection device against spyware, Jayde Online Inc. and Xblock Software announced a partnership they planned to take on in 2004. The two companies planned to merge the spyware tool X-Cleaner, provided by XBlock, into Jayde’s Internet Explorer search engine toolbar, ExactSeek.com. The ExactSeek toolbar already provided features including web search, pop-up blocking, highlighting and drag and search along with Alexa ranking information.

Executives at Jayde Online are seeking to provide internet users with multiple new features upon the release of each new free toolbar. By working with XBlock the company hopes to provide users with an initial line of defense against spyware threats. Because computer users are constantly being preyed upon by spyware those involved in the industry predict spyware could far surpass the threats computer viruses bring. Executives at XBlock believe the use of anti-spyware tools on the ExactSeek toolbar will not offer computer users a complete defense against spyware but it will protect computers from the most prevalent spyware, adware, keylogger and Trojan problems.

The XBlock company has provided several online security tools for consumers and corporations since its beginning. ExactSeek.com is part of the Jayde Corporation which is comprised of several online network sites. Jayde also focuses on publishing several email newsletters.
